Public Notice: Pre-planned interruption of service and boil water notice for parts of Lake Dora Dr, Nichols Dr., and Michelle Ct.

7/20/21

PRE-PLANNED INTERRUPTION OF SERVICE NOTICE

TO: Residents between 1310 and 33425 Lake Dora Dr., 1404 Nichols Dr., and 111 Michelle Ct.

Water service will be interrupted to repair a service line on Lake Dora Dr. on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 beginning at 9:00 a.m. and should be completed by approximately 12:00 p.m., unless there are unforeseen circumstances.

Once service is restored, a Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until bacteriological surveys show that the water is safe to drink. We advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled.  A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient.  As an alternative bottled water may be used. When the precautionary boil water notice is lifted, affected residents will be notified in the same manner as they received the original notice.

If you have any questions, you may contact the City of Tavares Water Department at (352) 742-6222. Thank you, Christopher Abbott. Water Dept.
