In April 2021, FWC stocked hybrid striped bass (aka Sunshine Bass) in the Harris Chain of Lakes. FWC stocked Lake Harris with 92,000 and Lake Eustis with 56,000 hybrid fingerlings. Based on previous research, these fingerlings grow rapidly and will be catchable size in less than a year. These hybrids provide anglers with an additional sport fish option and are known for their hard fighting ability and good table fare.
