2/17/23 PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE

TO: Residents and businesses from the intersection of CR561 and CR448 up to and including Frankie’s Rd. (including the Circle K and the Lake Co. Landfill), all of Lake Industrial Blvd, and all of South Ridge Industrial Blvd.

In order to repair a broken fire hydrant, the water main had to be shut off, causing service to be interrupted. Therefore, as a precaution we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled.  A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient.  As an alternative, bottled water may be used. Service will be restored as soon as possible.

This “PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE” will remain in effect until bacteriological surveys show that the water is safe to drink. When the precautionary boil water notice is lifted, affected residents will be notified in the same manner as they received the original notice.

If you have any questions, you may contact the City of Tavares Water Department at (352) 742-6222.
