FRIDAY - BAND BIOS:

KINGS COUNTY: KINGS COUNTY WEBSITE Originally from Long Island, NY, Orlando, FL-based KINGS COUNTY creates hard-hitting rock n’ roll with infectious hooks. Inspired by an eclectic combination of The Beatles and Herb Alpert, their songs blend edgy hard rock with strong melodies. The band’s music is somewhat reminiscent of 90’s hard rock artists, but with a decidedly modern twist.

REECE GUSTAFSON: REECE MUSIC WEBSITE   Reece is a country musician originally from the Central Florida area however his unique, new country sound, has grown him a following in NY, PA, OH, as well as FL. His stage presence along with his ability to seamlessly transition between guitar and keyboard will make you want to stop and listen! He has been a part of many festivals in and out of state, most recently playing at the Rhythm on Ruby Festival. He is a regular at the Tin Roof locations and often is seen playing in the northern parts of the country. His original music speaks to his time here in Florida and the relationships that have taught him lessons along the way. His most recent release, Back to You, is a blend of new country and southern rock that will have you hitting replay! You can find his music on all streaming platforms or by following him on social media @ReeceGusMusic.

SATURDAY - BAND BIOS:

WAR HIPPIES: WAR HIPPIES WEBSITE  In 2022, we joined forces to forge a new musical path, brought together by our shared experience as combat veterans who also share a passion for writing and performing music. Our inaugural performance was nothing short of electric, and from that moment, we knew we were onto something special. Using the platform we're given as artists, our mission is to propagate peace, love, and safeguard the freedoms of people around the world. @warhippiesmusic

THE WEATHERED SOULS: THE WEATHERED SOULS WEBSITE Formed in the small town of Greenville, Texas, The Weathered Souls are foraging the path of modern-day Rock and Roll, meshing the classic rock vibe with heavier, electric elements. Over many studio sessions, The Weathered Souls connected on their love of classic and pure rock bands such as AC/DC but have enjoyed bringing their youthful twist and energy into this perennial, and ‘weathered’ genre. Even though the band is new on the scene, they have secured high profile shows opening for Whiskey Myers, Read Southall Band and Goodbye June. The band is currently writing and recording their debut album that will continue pushing the boundary of their sound and demonstrate their focus on musical diversity that brings a distinct, rousing twist of Texas country and southern rock.

J ALAN SIX BAND: J ALAN SIX BAND  J Alan Six grew up in a small town in Indiana where he spent his early years helping out in the church and found his love for entertaining by singing southern gospel most Sunday mornings. Growing up in rural Indiana, he was no stranger to classic country which heavily influenced his love of the genre but only sang for fun for the most part. Music, unfortunately, took a backseat as his life and career as a master jeweler began to blossom. At the age of 18, he met his beautiful wife Melissa and together after 29 years have raised seven wonderful boys whom they devoted their time and life to. After moving to Florida several years ago, his love for music was rekindled after being invited to sing with a live band at the Orange Blossom Opry in Wiersdale, FL. Now that his children have grown, J Alan has begun to chase the dream of singing which had never fully gone away. His music is heavily influenced by the great country stars of his youth and include the likes of George Jones, George Strait, Jamey Johnson, and Trace Adkins to name a few. As his music demonstrates the impact these great artists have had on his interests, he’s often heard saying “Its time to bring the cowboy hat back to country music." J Alan had the opportunity to record his first album in country music's birthplace of Nashville TN, with a collection of songs written by award winning song writers, including one of the founding members of Sawyer Brown, Bobby Randall. J Alan and his family now call Florida their home but he never strayed too far from his Randolph county Indiana roots as he moves forward on an ever expanding repertoire in his own search of an original country sound

DALLAS TYLER: DALLAS TYLER BAND WEBSITE   Dallas Tyler was born and raised in the Northwest corner of Apopka, Florida, where the corn grows. Growing up, his parents introduced him to local bands on the weekends. When Dallas turned 15, he started singing here and there, booking shows and traveling. "I’ve played at many local events including Orange Blossom Opry, Plant City Strawberry Festival, Out of state shows and many private events. My biggest inspirations are Patrick Gibson, Rob Nichols, and Brooks Vaughan of Hayfire Band who are all local artists. I sing with the hope to inspire others with my music and to be a leader for others to follow." @dallastyler&therocknDTB

AIR SHOW - PILOT BIOS:

CLEMENS KUHLIG: https://www.chefpittsairshows.com/   CLEMENS KUHLIG'S FACEBOOK PAGE  The Airplane: The airplane is a Pitts S1S. I built it in my garage over three years while working as a professional Chef. That is why I call it the "Chefpitts". I test-flew it in February of 2013. I flew it to Sun n Fun in Lakeland, FL, a few months later and was honored to win the "Best Homebuilt Biplane" award! The single-place Pitts design has been flying since 1945. My Pitts incorporates many modifications, including Precision wings with extended ailerons, larger tail surfaces, integral gap seals, one-piece carbon fiber floor, hand-formed custom fairings, spring gear, and many more. The engine is a lightweight IO-360 from Barrett Precision Engines. About 200 hp spinning a Prince Carbon Fiber Prop. The paint scheme is what sets this airplane apart. It is unique to this airplane. I designed the scheme and painted the aircraft myself. The bottom surfaces feature a 3-dimensional cube design inspired by the German WW 1 " Lozenge " camouflage... The face on the nose is an homage to Cole Palen, who started "The Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome" in NY. The face was on his Fokker Triplane. It was also on the Triplane of German Ace Werner Voss during WW1.

The Airshow: The show I Fly is inspired by the pilots I watched as a kid. Jim Parker, The Red Devils, Leo Loudenslager, Al Hauff, Art Scholl, the French Connection. The Pitts Special is an iconic airplane that lends itself well to beautiful rolling, curving lines, snap rolls, and excellent outside capability. All these elements blended throughout the show, including cutting in and out of the show line to show depth. In addition to the performance, I flew dead stick aerobatics and landed!

The Builder/Pilot: I started in aviation, like many others...Model airplanes. From hand-launch gliders to rubber-powered sticks and tissue-free flight to control lines radio control. I was taken to my first airshow at Quonset Point in RI when I was 8. I saw The Red Devils (later to become the famous Christian Eagles) do a formation snap roll in three Pitts Specials!

That was the moment that started the journey.

~ Earned glider license before driver's license.

~ Worked my way up from dishwasher to Chef over the next twenty years.

~ Started flying aerobatics while working in the Northeast and Florida Country Clubs.

~ Won the second Pitts Trophy ever awarded with less than 30 hours of Pitts time.

~ I now work as an A&P/IA at Precision Jet in Stuart, FL.

DOUG LITTON: DOUG LITTON'S FACEBOOK PAGE Doug’s passion for aviation started very early in life, growing up around skydivers and pilots at a small grass air?eld in West Virginia. Following in the footsteps of his father, Doug started his ?ight training in the family Cessna 120 at age 14. His ?rst instructor, a WWII veteran pilot, combined military style aerobatics with primary ?ight training. This training instilled a deep respect and dedication to airmanship, and Doug has been pursuing the perfection of his skills ever since.  Doug flies the German built Extra 300-S. Revered for its light weight, its agile “fingertip” handling, and its powerful engine, the Extra 300-S is specifically designed for competition and airshow aerobatics and built to withstand the stresses and demands of extreme maneuvers. Doug lives with his wife and their three dogs in beautiful Saint Augustine, FL, where he trains year-round for aerobatic competitions and airshows. Doug also serves as airshow crew-chief and ferry pilot for his dear friend and mentor, world-renowned airshow pilot, Patty Wagstaff.

JERRY D. KERBY “JIVE”: https://www.stallion51.com/mustang-flight-ops/jerry-kerby/ Jerry ‘Jive’ Kerby is a retired United States Air Force Lieutenant Colonel and fighter pilot. Originally from Lancaster, Missouri, Jive's introduction to aviation began when he was ten years old, and he took his first ride in an airplane.  Jive started flying lessons when he was fifteen.  On his sixteenth birthday, Jive soloed for the very first time, and on his seventeenth birthday, he received his private pilot’s license. Jive graduated from the professional pilot training program at Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology and began working as a charter and cargo pilot while earning his bachelor’s degree in aviation from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Upon completion of his degree, Jive joined the US Air Force with over 4300 hundred hours of flight time and his Airline Transport Pilot’s license.  During his flight training with the Air Force, Jive graduated at the top of his pilot training class and earned the opportunity to fly the F-15C Eagle. Jive amassed over 3400 hours in the Eagle during his Air Force career as well as several hundred hours flying the F-4 Phantom.  He became the US Air Force F-4 Heritage Flight pilot in 2005.  He retired from the USAF in February of 2006.  In 2011, Jive helped found the company known as Draken International, Inc. in Lakeland, FL.  The company has the largest civilian-owned fleet of fighter aircraft and works with US military and NATO members to provide training.  Jive currently serves as the Director of Aircraft Acquisitions for the company and continues to fly the F-1 Mirage, L-159 Honeybadger, and the A-4 Skyhawk in training missions such as Red Flag and with the USAF Weapons School candidates.  He is the only founder remaining with the company. Jive currently has over 16,000 hours of flight time in 75 different aircraft, including flying air shows in the RV-8A, T-28, T-33, L-39, MS760, MiG-17, and F-4.  He holds a Surface level (Solo and Formation) Statement of Aerobatic Competency (SAC), in the F-4, T-33, L-39, MiG-17, T-28, MS-760, T-6, and RV-series aircraft.  He also serves as a Certified Aerobatic Competency Evaluator (ACE) through the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS). In 2019, Jive attended the Reno Air Races Pylon Racing School for the first time and was certified to fly at the September races in the De Havilland Vampire. During the 2019 races as a rookie, Jive became one of the few racers to ever qualify at over 500 mph. He returned to Reno for 2021 flying the L-39C as Team Race 11’s main aircraft in The Jet Class.  He was elected in September of 2021 to serve on the Board of Directors for Racing Jets, Inc., the membership organization, and governing body for the Reno Air Races Jet Class. Jive and his wife, Lunar Sawyer, currently live in Lake Wales, Florida at the private airport known as fly Jivefly Airport.

JOHN BLACK:  https://www.jjaero.com/ Originally from Dayton, Ohio, John lives in Cocoa Beach, Florida. John credits his love of flying to his father and growing up in the "Birthplace of Aviation." "My Dad instilled my love of flying; the Air Force Museum was our 2nd home. I'd run outside every time I heard an airplane. Balsa wood airplanes, model rockets, and radio-controlled airplanes filled my time. My Dad and I would always go to the Dayton Air Show. There we watched the legends: Bob Hoover, Duane Cole, Art Scholl, Charlie Hillard & Harold Johnson." John learned to fly in 1984 when he was 17 at a little airport called Moraine Airpark. He acknowledges this as a defining time for him. "My first lesson was during Easter break in 1984. I had my pilot's license before I started my senior year of high school. Moraine Airpark also offered aerobatic training. My first aerobatic lesson was in a Super Decathlon before I had my private license. I still remember my first-time upside down like it was yesterday." John attended college at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach. He received a Bachelor of Science in Aircraft Engineering Technology and completed the AF ROTC program. His summers always led him back to Dayton, though. "I spent my college summers back in Dayton at Moraine Airpark pumping gas, cleaning windshields, mowing the field, and flying everything I could get my hands on." John was commissioned in the Active-Duty Air Force in August 1989. He completed pilot training in April 1991 after a year of flying T-37s & T-38s. John is now retired from military service. During his twenty-one years in the Active Duty Air Force and Florida Air National Guard all his assignments were flying F-15A & Cs. He amassed 3600 hours of Eagle time and earned the rank of Lt. Col. John was an F-15 Instructor, Evaluator, & Mission Commander. John currently flies TF-51s (P-51Ds), L-39s, and AT-6s with Stallion51 Corporation located in Kissimmee, FL. As well, John flies with Florida Air Tours giving scenic sorties around Cocoa Beach in Waco UPF-7s. Even though John flies one of the best airplanes in the world, he's always held aerobatic flying close to his heart.

"Through all my Air Force years, and now with Stallion, I've continued to fly general aviation aircraft, especially Citabrias and Decathlons. We bought our Super Decathlon in early 2002. It is a great airplane! The Bahama Blue color of her paint stands out in the sun, so we started calling her "Blue." I have over 1200 hours in Super Decathlons, most of those in "Blue." I always tell people if I'm not at Kissimmee or flying the Waco, you can find me at the airport tinkering with the Decathlon." John has flown over 60 aircraft types, flying more than 8200 sorties and 8100 hours in the last 37 years.
