Every flight is a unique experience, each beginning with a takeoff, requiring timing, skill and technique. Tickets are available for the Tavares in Bloom flight and we’re looking for passengers for this enriching experience! The flight is planned and we’re ready to soar. Won’t you join us?
Now we need some help from residents, employees and civic organizations. If you are currently engaged in any type of community enrichment program that coincides with the judging criteria, then we want to hear about it. We will catalog these relevant endeavors and submit them with our community profile to America in Bloom for the judges to review.
So, does your neighborhood association maintain an attractive entry to your subdivision or complex? If so, keep track of those hours, take photos to document those efforts…and be sure to smile!
Is your scout troop, 4H club, AWANA club or other civic or school group conducting a food drive or clean-up of an unsightly area? Be sure to include photos and documentation of those efforts too.
Are you working to revitalize an historic home or building? We’d love to know.
Any positive community endeavor for the betterment of Tavares that epitomizes the six judging categories; Landscaped Areas, Floral Displays, Urban Forestry, Heritage Preservation, Environmental Efforts and Overall Impression, we want to include in our profile. All of those positive things help to make Tavares an award winning America in Bloom city and if we aren’t aware of your contributions, we can’t include them.
Please send photos and information to the Pilot of the program, Traci Anderson, Landscape Specialist, at the City of Tavares, 100 N Disston Avenue, Tavares, Florida 32778 or by email to email@example.com.
