Consistent with the American’s with Disabilities Act of 1990, the City of Tavares has designated an individual as the ADA Coordinator. The ADA Coordinator is responsible for assisting the City in its efforts to increase its accessibility by persons with disabilities and accepting complaints of discrimination on the basis of disability in the provision of services, activities, and programs provided by the City.

The City of Tavares Administrative building (City Hall) is located at 201 E. Main Street. There are handicap accessible parking spaces along Rockingham Avenue and the building entrance from Rockingham Avenue is equipped with an electric door. Assistive listening devices are available for use and other such assistance is available upon request at least two (2) days in advance of a public meeting.

Complaints should include the name, address and phone number of the complainant, along with the location, date and description of the problem. Complaints will be processed in accordance with the applicable law.
